Fighting the COVID “19” Part 2

When this whole thing broke out, if you recall, everyone rushed to the store to pill up the toilet paper, paper towels, and hand sanitizer.  Once everyone realized we were in this thing for the long haul most everyone rushed to the store to buy food.  Unfortunately, for themselves and their health, they chose all the wrong things.

What was missing from the shelves, for the most part, packaged food?   Some may say, “What’s wrong with that”.  During a crisis like we are facing, CV19, processed foods are the worst thing you can do is to suppress your immune system.  How do you do that?

Before I get into that, let me ask you a question.  If you have or had kids what happened right after Halloween?  Your kids get sick!  You know why…SUGAR!  Your kids go around the neighborhood collecting candy as if it would no longer be available after October 31.  Kids, including mine, shovel candy in their mouths like a diamond miner in vain of a lifetime. It’s a well-known fact that large amounts of sugar at one time, like Halloween, taxes your immunity and lowers the body’s ability to fight off colds and alike.

Going back to the selves being cleared of all the packaged foods, what do you think the two main ingredients in all of those foods are?  You guessed it, one, SUGAR.  Not just sugar but Fructose.  The others are seed, soy, and corn oils.

In part one, we identified three things you could do today to start your fight against the “19” pounds you gained.  In addition to Giving yourselves some grace…,staying away from things that are causing stress…, more sleep…you need to take a very hard look at what you’re putting in your mouth.

Traditionally everyone will say you need to exercise more, but the normal person will never out workout the kitchen table.  Without getting into a lot of details in this post, not all calories are equal and not as simple as calories in and calories out, especially Fructose.  So…

  1. Cut out the Sugar, (56 names for Sugar) mainly Fructose. Fructose is primarily known for coming from fruit and corn.
    1. Fructose bypasses the stomach and is processed in the liver, but the liver cannot do much with it, so the liver transforms it into FAT.
    1. Also, Fructose turns off the body’s mechanism that lets you know you are FULL thus you eat more than your body needs, and second Fructose causes you to want more food and more often.  ( more + more + more is not a good plan, especially when most of its turned to FAT)
  2. Cut out the seed/corn oils.  As more and more research comes out, scientists are starting to see how these oil called (PUFA – polyunsaturated fatty acids) cause serious damage to your metabolic system. Now, this may not seem familiar to you but you will recall just a few years ago the push to get TRANS FATS taken out of foods.  Guess what the seed, soy, and corn oils are TRANS FATS.These FATS cause cell damage which increased free radicals that lead to atherosclerosis, the body has a very difficult time processing these FATS for energy and thus store more FAT.   The double whammy!

Now can you get a glimpse to why you gained the COVID “19”

What is next…Two suggestions

  1. Stop eating packaged and fast foods today.  They are all packed with both of these evils.
  2. Get back in the kitchen and start to cook your own food.  By doing this, you can see what is going in your food.

In summary, by Giving yourselves some grace…,Staying away from things that are causing stress…, More sleep…, Stop eating packaged and fast foods today and Get back in the kitchen and start to cook your food, YOU CAN LOSE THE COVID “19” AND MUCH MORE.
